Our daughters are battling more than mood swings and growing pains. They're facing record levels of anxiety, loneliness, and emotional overwhelm—and they’re doing it with earbuds in, eyes on screens, and hearts that are quietly breaking.
You can’t shield her from all of it. But you can lead her through it.
One of the simplest ways to support your daughter’s emotional health isn’t found in a bottle, a therapy app, or another parenting book.
It’s found on the sidewalk.
Walking. Every day. With her. While speaking God’s Word.
It sounds too simple to matter. But research—and Scripture—says otherwise.
You’ve probably heard about the “10,000 steps a day” rule.
It turns out that was invented by a Japanese marketing team in 1965 to sell pedometers—and it's not true. The real science is even more hopeful: a landmark study published in the European Journal of Cardiology showed that just 4,000 steps a day can reduce your risk of dying from heart-related illnesses. It only takes about 35 minutes to get those in each day, and you'll both feel the impact of it on your emotions after the first walk. Those feel good hormones don't need much to get stirred up and they build with each walk.
Now imagine sharing that walk with your daughter—talking, laughing, and planting Scripture in your minds as you move.
The power doesn’t come from the steps. Or even from you.
The real power is God’s Word.
Psalm 1 says that the person who meditates on God's law day and night is like a tree planted by streams of water. That’s what we want for our daughters. Deep roots. Strong hearts. A life that bears fruit—especially when the world gets hard.
And that’s why I’m inviting you to join me.
The Holy Girl Walk Starts June 2
It’s a 28-day challenge designed to help you and your daughter walk in the truth of God's Word. This season we're memorizing Psalm 30.
Each day, we’ll walk. We’ll memorize Scripture. And we’ll talk about the God who delivers us and turns mourning into dancing.
You don’t need fancy sneakers or a Bible degree.
Just your girl. Your feet. And a willingness to let God’s Word lead.
Because this simple daily habit could do more than calm her anxiety.
It could anchor her soul.
