Do you struggle to be true to yourself on social media? Maybe there are two versions of you: one for your everyday friends and family, and another for your followers. We’ll tell you how to break free from the fake personas and learn how you can find freedom by being the truest version of you!

Today on True You, we’re getting real about who we are on social media. It’s easy to create a false image of ourselves by only posting perfect selfies and the best moments of our lives, but how does that line up with who we are behind our screens? It’s time to tackle the social chameleon phenomenon and commit to displaying only one version of ourselves—The True Version. Let’s see one girl’s story of confronting her social media fakeness:

If you’re struggling to be true to yourself on social media, here are a few verses to help you portray the real you. Write them down, memorize them, and live in the Truth of them.

  • Philippians 4:8
  • Proverbs 4:23
  • Ephesians 1
  • Psalm 139:13-14

We'd love to hear from you! Send us your freedom story—that’s what we call it when God sets you free through His Truth found in the Bible. Post your 1-minute video on social media and tag @liesyoungwomenbelieve or upload it here, and it could be selected to be featured on a future episode of True You.
