We want our girls to flourish in good times and bad times, but we also don’t really want them to have to go through those bad times. Being a mom is tricky sometimes, isn’t it? Today Dannah breaks down a valuable lesson from Psalm 92 that helps us and our girls not just survive, but thrive.
This season we’re Finding Esther. Dannah Gresh and Staci Rudolph have been examining evidence from the archeological dig of Susa. Their goal? To remind us that the Bible is a historical document that can be supported by other historical documents…and to get us excited to study the book of Esther. The archeological findings of her ancient home city, Susa, have provided some of the most thrilling evidence that the Bible really is full of detailed, accurate accounts of history.
This season Dannah Gresh and Staci Rudolph are Finding Esther. There’s so much we can learn from the Bible about her life, as well as that of her cousin Mordecai, who raised her. After Esther became the Queen of Persia and began to live in the palace, Mordecai still kept a good eye on her. Do you know where he sat when he watched for her? The King’s Gate which is where we’ll gather today for the True Girl podcast.
One of the most exciting, but least visited, biblical sites in the world is Susa. It’s exciting because the whole drama of the Book of Esther took place there! We know exactly where Xerxes sat on his throne, and Esther approached him, and more. In this season of the True Girl podcast, Dannah Gresh and Staci Rudolph are Finding Esther and helping us virtually explore her ancient home.
In celebration of the release of Dannah's newest Bible study for tween girls, Esther: Becoming a Girl of Purpose, we're talking about how God sometimes prepares our daughters for their purpose during seasons of waiting.

Here’s a question for you: Can your daughter show her work? Meaning, just like we had to show how we got an answer in math class, can your daughter defend why she believes what she believes? Shani McKenzie is coming in with a ton of wisdom about equipping our girls to defend their faith in her teaching on today’s episode.
The girls get deep in this one! Right off the bat, they lay the foundation that they’re NOT advocating for the existence of aliens. However, they ARE talking about how followers of Christ are “aliens and strangers” in this world. We currently live in the world, but it’s not our forever home. Hallelujah! And they discuss how helping our girls understand that can give them peace about their “itchy feelings” of not fitting in.
Anxiety sure is a hot topic these days and it’s not a strange word for many of our girls. There are lots of different reasons and remedies for anxiety. Today Dannah is sharing one powerful tool she uses to gain victory over anxious thoughts.
